We are back at the house and slowly moving in more stuff.

I did want to answer one question that I have been asked a gazillion times.

Some of you are curious if we are moving to our beach house permanently.

The answer is no.

Our home will always be in the Pasadena area in the home my husband Dave grew up in. It’s our 100 year old home!

Nine years ago we bought this beach house in Ventura which is about an hour and fifteen minutes from our home.

We are finishing up a nine month remodel and slowly getting it ready for our family and friends to enjoy.

We will be here a lot as we are so excited. We finally have a home large enough for our family.

You will be seeing a lot of this house as I finish the decorating. I expect we will be here a lot of weekends.

Maybe even some visits will last a few weeks. Or months.

It has been a crazy week at the Ventura Beach House!

We are moved in (and starting to decorate) and are now managing the finishing projects.

I want to pinch myself that the Ventura beach house project is almost done!

It is turning out exactly how I pictured it in my mind, maybe even a little bit better!

Maryliz took this photo of Dave and me testing out the new chairs in the primary bedroom.

Something tells me we will be spending a lot of time in these chairs soaking up the view!

The kitchen at the beach house is almost done and we moved in a lot of stuff.

Tomorrow the decorating should start and I am excited!

All of the details are on my blog today including my big mistake. Aargh!

But it’s all good and it will be fine.

Well, we survived the move-in day at the Ventura beach house.

I have so much to share, mostly good but some not so good, and lots of pictures too!

We have actually been moving in all week while they have been finishing our house.

It's exciting but it's been challenging.

And I kind of messed up in a big way. Or at least a costly way.

It's caused me so much stress but I will work it out.
